About Us

The idea of GI Jerky was brought to life in the pines of Fort Bragg, NC in 2015. What started out as a snack to take to the field, quickly turned into other paratroopers wanting to purchase the snack. Over the next year, pounds and pounds of GI Jerky was made in the 82nd Airborne barracks and sold to soldiers all over post. In 2016, operations were moved to Camp Humphreys, Korea. It was here that things started to take off and demand rose to the point where we couldn’t find enough beef to keep up. (We also pissed off a lot of Army/Air Force wives when we would wipe out the commissaries on three different bases of all beef roasts) After separating from the army at the end of 2016, we set up shop in South Carolina and officially launched GI Jerky. Since then, we have learned a lot of what to do and more importantly what not to do. In 2020, we made the move to Texas and have gotten established here. We have some awesome things coming in the future and we hope that you will be here with us!  

As Veterans, we know what daily life in the military is like. The hurry up and waiting, motor pool Mondays, change of command ceremonies, it’s enough to drive you insane. We believe that the members of our armed forces and veterans deserve the highest quality product that we can offer. We have lived the military life and understand that you don't always know when or where your next meal will come from. Having a high protein snack that gives a boost whether you're coming in from PT, sitting through a 24 hour Staff Duty, or on a patrol on deployment, is essential to make it through the day.
